Josiah Michael Trego, 12 1/2 years young, beloved son, brother, & grandson.  Josiah went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2024, at his home in Woodland Park, Colorado.     Josiah was born on June 30, 2011, in Abilene, TX, to his loving parents, Michael and Elysha Trego.

He is survived by his parents, and brother Ethan (10), and sister Adelynne (1), Great- Paternal grandfather: Edward Hunter, Sr., Muncie, Great Grandmother, Betty Keller, Piqua, Ohio, Paternal grandparents, Dale and Deneia Trego, Muncie, uncle, Justin Trego (Lindsey), son Hayden Case (14), son, Case (9), uncle Dylan (Devon) Trego, daughter Lydia (7 Months), maternal grandparents, Ed and Brenda Hunter, Abilene, Texas, uncle, Joseph Hunter, Abilene, Texas, uncle Benjamin Hunter, Abilene, Texas, son, Elijah (7 months).

Twelve years ago, a legend was born.  Josiah was brought to this earth to touch the hearts of many.  At just 7 months of age, he received a diagnosis of Lissencephaly and Epilepsy.  Doctors said then that he would be a “Million-dollar baby”.  He was a cowboy, a race car driver, an observer, and even an adventure-seeking explorer.  His most memorable traits were his love for the great outdoors, water, trucks, big yellow school buses, and his passion for the American Flag.  He participated in baseball, the Dodgers CSLL Challenger League, and Colorado Springs, Colorado.  He also attended Wiley Elementary School in Abilene, Texas.  His superhero powers made trains roll on the tracks, it made the girls go crazy, and for his family to keep pushing forward.  He also met and hung out with Vince Gill at West Texas Rehab, Abilene, Texas.  He touched many lives everywhere he went across the United States.  Now he is walking and talking with Jesus and free of his earthly burdens.

His celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Harris Chapel Church of the Nazarene located at 10450 S. County Rd. 544 E, Selma, IN.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Graveside services will be conducted by Parson Mortuary at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Indiana.
