Joy Slusher Henderson passed away on November 14, 2023. She was living in New Castle, IN.
She was born in Indianapolis, on November 17, 1968, to Denise Delp. Denise gave her love to be raised
by Jim and Barbara Slusher. They adopted her at 8 days old. Joy graduated from Muncie Central High
School in 1988 and Ivy Tech.
Surviving is her husband Mark Henderson, mother Barbara Richards, and biological mother Denise Delp.
Mark and Joy have a total of four children Dustin Davies (wife Whitney), Jennifer Hart (husband Kyle),
Sean Henderson, and Taylor Henderson. 10 grandchildren; Epic Davies, Graysen Thomas, Aubrey
Thomas, Jonathan Hart, Madelyn Hart, Isabella Hart, Maddox McColley, Paul Butler, Daniel Butler and
Awesome Parkhurst. She has a sister Jill Blume (husband Donald), and 2 brothers, David Delp and Bob
Richards (wife Pat). Nephews Maxwell and Eli Blume.
She is preceded in death by her dad Jim Slusher, her 2nd dad Jim Richards, her grandson Cason Davies, and a brother Scotty Delp.
Joy’s compassionate heart was focused on the needs of other people. She sought to do anything
possible to lend a helping hand. Joy was a member of Cambridge City Christian Church where she put
her faith to work by growing in her knowledge of God’s Word and by joyfully serving people in any way
she could. Children were Joy’s passion and she adored (and spoiled) her precious grandchildren,
neighbor kids, church kids, and any other child who might be nearby.

St. Cambridge City, IN 47327 with visitation at 11 and the service starting at 1 on December 2, 2023.
