Muncie – Joyce A. Clark, 68, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014, at her residence, with her family by her side, following an extended illness.
Joyce was born in Muncie on December 2, 1945, the daughter of Guy and June (Foster) May, and attended Muncie Central High School.
Joyce worked 10 years as a Soft Lines Associate for Walmart. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, ceramics and crafts. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. The family would like to give a special thank you to Michelle and Kim of Southern Care Hospice for all of their compassion and care.
Survivors include five children, Theresa Miller, (husband-Bruce), Muncie, Tony Clark, (wife-Lynn), Muncie, Tina Bell, Muncie, Tammy Stinefield, (husband-Greg), Selma, and Guy Clark, (significant other-Dawn Greenwell), Muncie; 10 grandchildren, Trey, Kobe, and Olivia Brown, Joshua Clark, Anna Bowman, Brian Jr., (wife-Ashley), Britney, (significant other-Rob Weller), and Sadie, (fiancé-Jordan Matchett) Bell, Heather, (husband-Adam) Poe, and Derek (significant other-Emily Marks) Stinefield; eight great grandchildren, Saige and Lexie Clark, Camden, Carter, and Connor Bell, Riley and Brady Swift, and Gracie Crow; her canine companion, Jake; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Dwight Clark; a brother, David May Sr. and a son-in-law, Roger O. Brown.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Parson Mortuary. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014, or one hour prior to time of service on Wednesday.
