Joyce Ann Mathews, 74, passed away on April 26, 2024, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.  Joyce was born on January 30, 1950, the daughter of Martin and Edith (Hanna) Mathews. 

Following graduation from Muncie Central High School, Joyce began a career in dietary and food services, both at local nursing homes and schools.  She enjoyed crafts, and adult coloring books and especially loved her cats, Charlie and Toby.

She leaves behind her siblings, David Mathews, Tony Mathews (Nancy), Clifford Mathews (Janet), Peggy Fouch, and Janet Snodgrass, and a special niece, Ciera Horn, who had a special place in her heart.  In addition, she is survived by several nieces, and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.

Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center is in charge of Joyce’s cremation.  There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Forest Park Senior Citizens Center, 2517 W. 8th Street, Muncie, Indiana.
