Joyce Ann Taylor, 84, left this life on April 9, 2024, at the Waters Edge Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.  She was born on January 20, 1940, in Muncie the daughter of Melvin E. and Mildred L. (Brown) Gray.

Joyce graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1958 and later married John Taylor in 1993 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and he survives.  Mrs. Taylor had worked for Duffy Tool and Die for over 30 years as a Stamping Machine Operator.  She enjoyed traveling and going to the lakefront property on Bear Lake.     

Besides her husband of 31 years, John, she is also survived by one sister-in-law, Pam Gray, Selma; three nieces, Ashley, Erin, and Amy Vance, all of Muncie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmy Vance in 2023; one sister, Mary Edwards and one brother, Wayne Gray.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Parson Mortuary at noon with Pastor Larry Waters officiating.  Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
