Judith (Judy) Lynn (Ketcham) Haughn Obituary

Judith (Judy) L. Haughn, 74, went to her heavenly home late Friday evening, September 6, 2024, at the Muncie Estates Senior Living Center following an extended illness.   She was born on September 24, 1949 in Ashtabula, Ohio the daughter of Earl and Margaret (Partridge) Ketcham.

Judith graduated from Jefferson High School at Geneva, Ohio in 1967 and later married the love of her life Anthony Haughn on January 24, 1970 in Muncie, Indiana.   He preceded her in death on March 12, 2017.   Judy held several jobs, and prior to leaving the workforce, she enjoyed the fulfilling work of being a Home Health Care Aid for approximately 10 years.  Those that knew Judy, will always remember her caring nature and the joy she found in helping others.  She was a proud member of the Temple Baptist Church in Muncie and loved her church family and enjoyed spending time in the nursery on Sunday mornings and participating in the Ladies Bible Study.  Judy was also an avid gardener and loved to be outdoors working in her flowers.  Most of all, Judy treasured the times that she could spend with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Haughn (Lisa), and Sean Haughn (Rachelle), all of Muncie; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas, Collin, Emily, Zach, Gabbi, and Nate; daughter-in-law, Marla Haughn, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband of 47 years, Anthony, she is also preceded in death by her eldest son, Scott; her parents; one brother, Kenneth Ketcham; one sister, Jane Dingman.

Private graveside services will take place at Beech Grove Cemetery with Pastor Ben Lang officiating.  Parson Mortuary is entrusted with these arrangements.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Temple Baptist Church, 3501 S. Madison, Muncie, IN 47302.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Muncie Estates for the care and compassion that was provided to Judy over the past 16 + months.
