On January 18, 2024, Kaiden Alexander Hernandez, 15, tragically left this world, in Muncie, Indiana.  Kaiden, the son of Max and Melissa (Ruddick) Alvarez-Gaspar, was born in Muncie, Indiana on June 28, 2008. 

Kaiden was a freshman at Muncie Central, who enjoyed playing Xbox, coding, cold weather, and walking.  He was known for his love of birds, especially his four parakeets. He loved to eat, his favorite was tacos and chicken. Kaiden was an intelligent young man, who had a genuine love for his family, especially his mom and sisters who called him ‘Bubba.”  Perhaps his only shortcoming was that he had no idea the impact he had on others, and their love for him.

Kaiden’s death leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those who survive him, including his parents, Max and Melissa Alvarez-Gaspar, sisters Meliana, and Gabriella, step-brothers Miguel, and Juan, and stepsister Savannah.  He also leaves behind grandparents, Jeffrey and Heather Ruddick, uncles, Jeremy Ruddick, Brady Terrell (Jessica Shopher), Lolo Alvarez, Sosimo Alvarez (Denisse), and Reymundo Alvarez, and aunts Allison Ruddick, and Mayra Alvarez, Godmother Tiffany Jenkins(Kent Jenkins).

Kaiden was preceded in death by his grandmother Lynn Ruddick and great-grandmother Debbe Ruddick.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 12:30, at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams Street, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call on the family starting at 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie.

The family will have a dinner following the burial at True Light Baptist Church for family and close friends.
