Karla Gay Frank, 64, went to her heavenly home Wednesday morning, July 10, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital at Akron, Ohio following a brief illness.  She was born on June 27, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of Donald R. and Gaythel (VanBuskirk) Fruitt, Sr.

Karla attended Muncie Community Schools and later married Neil Frank on September 17, 2002, in Ashland, Ohio and he survives.  Mrs. Frank had worked in retail sales a good part of her life, also as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and as an Activity Director for Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Generally, she was known to be a Homemaker enjoying spending time with her family!  She enjoyed doing crochet work, playing computer games on the desktop computer, and reading.

Besides her husband of 21 years, Neil, she is also survived by her children, Travis Cash, Kalkaska, Michigan, Ida Rose Houk (James), Jessica F. Thomas (Austin Paul), and Michael Eugen Thomas (Serenity), all of Muncie; twelve grandchildren; one great grand-child; one sister, Ida B. Fruitt, Muncie; two brothers, Donald R. “Rusty” Fruitt, Jr. (Shelly), Muncie and Tim McKinney (Joann), West Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor David Houk officiating.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
