Kathleen Owens

Kathleen Owens, 56, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021, at her home.  She was born October 8, 1964, and graduated from Yorktown High School in 1983.  

Kathy worked for Elite Services, Inc., of Muncie for 35 years.  She was also employed with Menards and Ball State University.  Ms. Owens was a long time member of the Westside Church of Christ, where she loved serving the Lord.  Raising her daughter in the church was very important to her, and her family was a large part of her life.  Kathy also enjoyed attending church camps and activities centered around antique tractors.  Her love extended to her fur babies - Jaws, Dottie, Jake and Lexi.

Besides her daughter, Skylar Murphy, she is survived by her parents, Tom and Barbara Owens; sister, Joan Owens; several cousins and other relatives; and her best friend, Dana.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Owens.

Funeral Services will be Saturday July 17, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center, 801 West Adams Street, Muncie IN.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Mt Tabor Cemetery, Muncie, IN.  

Memorial contributions for Skylar Murphy will be accepted in honor of her mother.
