Dr. Kenneth Guy Nunnelly peacefully departed on June 14th, 2024, at the age of 89, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of academic excellence and profound kindness.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 2nd, 1935, Ken's lifelong pursuit of knowledge led him through Thomas Jefferson High School, Texas Christian University, Texas A&M, and culminated in a PhD in psychology from Michigan State University.

Ken spent the majority of his adult life in Indiana although, through his work assignments within the Ball State University Psychology Department, he was gifted the opportunity to travel with his family and teach and explore all across Europe for a total of 2 ½ years.

A passionate world traveler and photographer, Ken's lens captured the diverse beauty of cultures and landscapes, reflecting his deep appreciation for the world's wonders.

Ken shared 63 years of cherished companionship with his devoted wife, Nona (Coston) Nunnelly, their bond a beacon of enduring love and mutual support.

A pioneer in family and parental psychology, Ken's career was marked by scholarly contributions and a commitment to excellence that inspired colleagues and students alike.

Ken is survived by his wife Nona Nunnelly, their son Greg, and granddaughter Katherine Dzelme. Brother Pat Nunnelly and his wife Pam, nieces Julie and Kara, and nephew Scott. Ken is also survived by his nieces Trish and Lisa Marie and nephew Jeff, children of his late brother Charles. Between his two brothers, there are 7 grandnieces and 6 grandnephews, all of whom treasure his love and guidance.

He was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Elva Nunnelly and younger brother Charles.

Though Ken has departed from our midst, his wisdom and love, as well as the beautiful memories created with Nona, will continue to guide and inspire us. May he rest in peace, knowing that his adventurous spirit and artistic vision will live on in our hearts and memories forever.

A service celebrating Ken's life will be held at Parsons Mortuary at 801 W Adams St, Muncie, IN 47305 on June 26 th, 2024 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to
Animal Rescue Fund of Muncie, Indiana are appreciated, reflecting Ken's compassionate spirit.
