Kenneth "Kenny" E. Townsend

Indianapolis-Kenneth (Kenny) E. Townsend, 55, passed away early Friday morning, March 2, 2018, at the Indiana University Health Hospital following a brief illness.  He was born on May 30, 1962, in Muncie, the son of Robert Eugene and Thelma J. (Green) Townsend.

Mr. Townsend attended Muncie Community Schools and later began working for Indiana Glass Company and also Ball Brothers Glass Company also known as Newell Manufacturing as a machine operator for approximately 8 years.  He was a member of the United Glass Workers Union and enjoyed tinkering with electronics and computers.

He is survived by his two children, Kendall (Kenny)and Bailee Elizabeth Townsend, both of Cowan; two sisters, Brenda Shores, Indianapolis and Pam Pickering (husband-Rick), Muncie; two brothers, Steve Townsend (wife-Tammy), Muncie and Jerry Townsend (wife-Kim), New Castle; Special cousins, Teresa Brenner, Glenda Bell (husband-Jacques) and Mike Adams, all of Muncie; several other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Allen Townsend and his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Townsend officiating.  Burial will follow at the Tomlinson Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
