Kevin J. Hiatt of Muncie, age 74, went to be with his Savior Jesus on March 8, 2026. Kevin’s life was marked by devotion to family, hard work, faith, and a compassionate heart.

A 1969 graduate of Muncie Central High School, Kevin’s work career was spent in the printing industry. The companies he served included Lincoln Press, Colony Printing, Indiana Ticket, EPI, and Warner Press where he was VP of Commercial Service. His most rewarding work years were spent alongside his son, Kelly, as they owned and operated Tri-K Printing.

Kevin was skilled in many areas besides printing, including car repair, construction, and the ability to fix things around the house. A lifelong learner, he was willing to read about and research any new project he undertook, always giving more than 100% to the successful completion of a task. Family members were quick to consult him whenever they had questions about home and car repairs, and Kevin was always ready with good advice and a helping hand.

Kevin cherished his family, and he was steadfast in serving and loving them well. The special bond he had with his grandchildren and great-grandson was a delight to behold, and time with them was always filled with laughter and lively conversation. He will be deeply missed by them and all his family.

Kevin served for a period as the Sunday School Superintendent at Bethel Church, and as a Deacon. A member of Gideons International, he was also active for a time in the ECI Emmaus Community. He was a fan of auto racing, loved a can of Pepsi, and enjoyed attending all the sporting events and activities of his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his beloved wife Karen (married 56 years), daughter Kami Bronnenberg (Patrick), son Kerry Hiatt, eight grandchildren (Keegan (Lily), Makennah (Aiden), Kade (Caia), Kye, Klaire, Grace, Levi, Hannah), and one great-grandson (Zeke). Kevin was preceded in death by his son, Kelly, as well as his parents.
