Larry James Slaven, 63, passed away at IU Ball Memorial Hospital on March 24, 2026, following a short illness.  Larry was born the son of Rosco Herbert and Georgia Ellen (Pennington) Slaven on September 4, 1962, in Muncie, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Debra, three sons, Mikey Slaven, Ross Slaven (McKenzie), and Kyle Slaven (Ashley), a sister, Sharon Owens (Tommy), and five grandchildren, Alexis Slaven, Waylon James Slaven, Brynlee Slaven, Wyatt Ezra Slaven, and Blakely Slaven.

Larry was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Elaine Slaven, his parents, Rosco and Georgia Slaven, a sister, Joan Slaven, and two brothers, David and Edward Slaven.
