Larry Joe Youngblood, 75, of Selma, Indiana, went home to the Lord on April 15, 2026, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on January 24, 1951, in Muncie to James and Mary (Michael) Youngblood.
Larry was a deeply faithful man whose love for the Lord guided every aspect of his life. His faith was unwavering, and he lived it daily through kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. He was selfless and unconditional in his love, always putting others before himself and offering support, encouragement, and compassion to all who knew him. He loved his family and friends wholeheartedly and cherished every moment spent with them. Whether playing cards, cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, or simply enjoying time together, Larry created lasting memories filled with warmth and laughter.
Larry also truly loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, spending time in nature, sitting outside swinging in the shade, and visiting state parks. He worked for Full Gospel Temple for over 20 years and retired after 30 years from General Motors. Larry had a passion for motorcycles and rode as long as he was able. He was a devoted churchgoer and a 1969 graduate of Wapahani High School. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and was also a member of his church baseball team.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Callie Youngblood (Hughes); his children, Kristie Youngblood, Nikki Henry (Justin), Kaitlyn Youngblood (Luis Zamora), and Kyle Young; his grandchildren, Noah Olson, Dean Henry, Lucas Young, and August Gipson; and his siblings, Kenneth Youngblood (Veva), Sandra Dudley, and Debra Tookolo (Bill), along with several nieces and nephews; Carey Youngblood, Sharon K. Barr, Joe Schneider, Dewayne Schneider, Michael May, Kevin May, Renea Vaught, Katina Wolfe, Kelly Griffin, and Courtney Tookolo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Youngblood; his siblings, Mick Youngblood, Marilyn Schneider, and Jack Short; and his brother-in-law, Clarence Dudley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Full Gospel Temple at 12:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
