Larry D. Tharp “Pete” passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, peacefully at his residence with his family surrounding him. Pete was born on September 10, 1939, in Ridgeville, the son of Jay and Myrtle Tharp (Wooters).

 Pete graduated from Ridgeville High School. He has had many talents over the years. At one time, he was a bricklayer, a butcher but ultimately spent most of his career as a Machinist at General Motors in Muncie for 30 years. He enjoyed watching various sports, golfing, and visiting with friends for coffee/meals.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sueanna (Conkle); children, Christopher (Susie) Tharp, Kevin Tharp, Lori Addison, Kelley Bergdoll, and Tracey Janney and his faithful Boston Terrier, Ella. Pete was blessed with eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brothers, Jim Tharp and Jay Tharp.

There will be no viewing services. He will have a private burial at the Gardens of Memory on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. The family would like to thank  IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Hospice for unwavering care. Memorial contributions may be made to ARF of Muncie.
