Laura J. (Hancock) Atkinson

Laura Atkinson passed away Wednesday December 29, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Randolph County Hospital in Winchester Indiana after struggling with declining health issues. Laura was born on Thursday May 27, 1965 to Nickie (Phillips) and Frank Hancock in Blackford County Indiana. She married David Atkinson on March 22, 1985 and he survives. Laura enjoyed watching cooking shows and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family.

Surviving Laura are her husband David, sons David (Hope) Atkinson Jr., Andy (Laura) McGuff, daughters Valarie (David) Shockney, Rebecca Monhun, Maci Atkinson; grandchildren Cami Atkinson, Mason Atkinson, Weston Atkinson, Braden Walburn, Jaxon Shockney, Andy McGuff Jr., Christopher McGuff, Matthew Corken, Cody Monhun, Julia Monhun; great-grandchildren Krason Corken, Logan Corken; brother Frank (Ruth) Hancock Jr. and sister Frankie (Shelby) Brumfield. There are many Nieces, nephews and extended family that will miss Laura also.

Laura’s Parents Nickie and Frank; brother John Hancock, and sister Valerie Hancock  preceded her in passing.

As Laura wished cremation will take place with a family gathering later. Parson Mortuary and Cremation center are in charge of arrangements.
