Lorraine Davis, 91, passed away at her Inverness, Florida, residence on February 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was born on February 14, 1935, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Thelma (Conn) Enterkin.
Following graduation from Muncie Central High School, Lorraine worked for Merchants Bank as a bookkeeper. She married the love of her life, Earl Davis, on June 28, 1953, whom she met in church, and they were married for fifty-eight years before his passing in 2011.
Lorraine was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Fever, and Notre Dame football. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and vacations at the beach with family. However, Lorraine’s biggest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be sorely missed by all.
Lorraine leaves behind two children, Chad Davis and Michele Davis, both of Inverness, Florida, sisters-in-law, Darlene and Sherry, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sierra (Mason), Emma, and Jordan, as well as her great-grandchildren, Russell and Violette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl Davis, an infant son, Jeffery, brother, Ed, sister, Luran, brother-in-law, Phil, and nephews, Rob and Greg.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 6, at 10:00 AM, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a local hospice organization.
