Marilyn Harley, 90, passed away on February 5, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, George; her parents, Charles and Alice Davis; her brother, Bill, and his wife, Linda Davis; and her brother-in-law, Myron Gill.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Carolyn Gill; her children, Susan Wilson (Jack), Kathy Selvey (David Segraves), Robert Harley (Janie), and Bruce Harley (Kelly); as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A devoted wife and mother, Marilyn had a deep passion for sewing, painting, ceramics, and all types of sports, with a special love for IU, the Kansas City Chiefs, and square dancing. In her younger years, she worked tirelessly as a housekeeper, caregiver, and as a cook at a local high school, always putting others first. Marilyn’s kindness and warm spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff, doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Parker City Health and Rehab for their compassion and excellent care during her stay.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Rusty Clements. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
