Marilyn Ann Stinnett, 75, passed away at her Muncie, Indiana, home on May 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness. Marilyn was born on September 25, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of James Mancell and Wilma (Wade) Hunt.
After graduating from high school, Marilyn attended Olney Central College in Olney, Illinois, where she obtained a degree in nursing. Marilyn served as a nurse in several nursing homes over the years.
Her biggest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She enjoyed shopping and getting things for her children. She was also known to love her dogs, Sage, Chaweenie, Tiny, Brat, Boo, and Sugar.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Johnny Brown (Desiree Oliver), Becky Edwards (Cody), and Melinda Clannin (Ricky Melton); grandchildren, McKinley, Robert, Becka, Tristan, Jordan, Tanner, Jayden, Jace, Ryle, Destiny, Nevaeh, Ashley, Dylan, Jordan, Kelsey, Marilyn, Brandon, Rochell, Kristy, Dustin, Megan, Sarah, and Hailey; as well as several great-grandchildren; siblings, Joe, Suzy, April, Billy, Kevin, and David.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny Brown, two children, Jeannie Norton and Mark Brown, and one granddaughter, Brittany Rowlee.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Beech Grove Cemetery, 1400 W. Kilgore, Muncie, Indiana.
