Mavis M. Fultz, 84, of Selma, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2024, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on April 3, 1940, in Menifee County, Kentucky, to Lacy and Nannie (Welch) Keith.

Mavis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she had many passions that defined her life. She loved spending time working in her yard gardening, cooking, and taking care of children. She enjoyed rummage sales and had a deep love for music. On July 24, 1964, Mavis married the love of her life, Buster Fultz, and they shared a beautiful life together.

Mavis is survived by her children: Danny Fultz (Janie), Timothy Fultz (Kristen), and Iva Sumwalt; her grandchildren: Raven, Willow, Danica, and Hayden; and great-grandchildren: Abree, Emma, Beau, Lakelynn, and Maelyn. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Iva (Leonard), as well as several nieces and nephews, including special niece Barbra Smith and special nephew Larry Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buster Fultz, her daughter Brenda Kay Fultz, and her siblings: Warnie, Ora, Charles Henry, Junior, and Mary Mae.

Mavis will be remembered for her caring nature, her love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
