In Loving Memory of Mekenna Renee Dillon
Mekenna Renee Dillon, a beloved daughter, twin, baby sister, granddaughter, cousin, aunt, friend, and an overall remarkable individual, left this world on October 13, 2023.
Born on May 10, 2000, Mekenna brought a unique and vibrant spirit to everyone who knew her.
Mekenna's fiery determination was exemplified by her achievement of an associate's degree in fire science. Mekenna was known for her spunky and hard-headed nature, which defined her character and endeared her to her family and friends. Despite her strong-willed personality, she possessed a heart of gold and a deep kindness that she readily shared with everyone she met. She ensured that those around her were taken care of and supported. She loved to shop and pick out gifts for her friends and relatives that always seemed to be perfectly suited just for them. She was funny, goofy, and lighthearted. We love how she’d make us all laugh.
One of Mekenna's greatest passions was her love for animals, particularly horses. Her connection with animals was a reflection of her tender and compassionate soul.
Mekenna's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those she touched with her unique blend of strength and kindness.
She leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit and legacy will continue to inspire and comfort those fortunate to know her.
Mekenna is survived by her Mom, Kelly Dillon, and her twin brother, Noah Dillon. Her older sister, Megan Dillon-Gladney (Travis Gladney). Her nephews Wyatt and Braxton Gladney. Her grandparents Sandra and Ralph Lawson. Her grandfather, Paul Dillon, and special cousins, Tabitha Dillon, Zacariah Dillon, Emily Dillon, Mikey Dillon, Aadan Dillon, Aariana Dillon, Aarian Dillon, Justin Carter, Matthew Carter, and Emily Carter. A host of cherished aunts, uncles, second cousins, and friends. All of which will always hold Mekenna dear in their hearts. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Herbert and Geraldine Carter. Great Grandma Rita Dillon. Great Uncle, Scott Carter. And one of her closest friends, Summer Stamps.
The family will be holding a private service in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the local animal shelter, The Animal Protection League
