Melinda Lea (Stephens-Hyre) Beckham, 58, of Parker City, Indiana passed away on October 25, 2024, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital Muncie, Indiana. She was born on March 14, 1966 in Muncie, Indiana to John  and Linda  (Small ) Stephens .

She enjoyed reading, especially Danielle Steele books, being on the beach, cooking, she enjoyed being a mother and supporting her son throughout his life, with that being a grandmother and taking his children on golf cart rides to get ice cream.  

Melinda is survived by her husband Kim Beckham, her son Brad Hyre (Paige) Kim's children; Douglas Beckham and Nicholas Beckham, father John Stephens (Marilyn), step-father Kenneth Madler, grandmother Sharon Brown, siblings; Brian Stephens (Diane), Aaron Stephens, Susie Rodeffer (Rodney), Angela Snyder (Chad), Jennifer Knox (Jordan), Shawna Puckett, grandchildren; Luke Hyre, Chase Hyre, Claire Hyre, lifelong friend Tephanie Shumaker, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her favorite pup Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her mother Linda Jean Stephens, mom Deborah Madler, grandmother Alma Stephens, sister Stacy Stephens, grandparents Mary and Lee Small, grandfather Allan Brown, and step-brothers; Shane and Chris Teer. 

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on October 30, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m until service time at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
