Melinda Gregory

Melinda Renea Gregory, 53, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 27, 1973, in Muncie, Indiana, to Donnie and Marsha (Brannon) Turner.

Melinda attended church at The Jar, where she was saved and baptized. She enjoyed playing bingo with family and friends, sipping her favorite milkshakes, and spending time with loved ones. She also loved adult coloring books and dining out with those closest to her. In her younger years, Melinda was an excellent softball player and was known as one of the fastest runners as a child.

She attended the University of Colorado, where she studied psychology and was a sophomore at the time of her passing.

Melinda is survived by her daughters, Brooke Upton (Steve Dobbs) and Alisha C.; her cherished grandchildren, Averix Hiatt, Acacia Hiatt, Robert, Ocean, and Janiyah; her sister, Kristie Turner (Jim); her brother, Craig Turner (Laura); her niece, Paige Turner; her nephews, Ronnie Nicholas (Laura) and Brayden Turner; her aunts, Kathy Brannon, Debbie Hartman (Randy), and Shelly Spaulding; and her uncle, Denny Brannon.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Marsha Brannon Turner and Donnie Turner, as well as her grandparents.

Melinda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
