Michael David gibson, Jr.

Michael D. Gibson Jr, age 54 went home to be with the lord on November 2, 2020.  He worked for Chaser Trucking company the past six years, he passed away from a brief illness.

Michael was born on August 31, 1966, in Muncie, the son of Michael D. and Sandra “Sandy” (Meade) Gibson Sr. 

Mike graduated from Yorktown High School in 1984.  He later married the love of his life Robin (Daugherty) Gibson.  Married 28 years.  He is survived by three sons and one daughter; Larry Swhier (Carrie Spence), Albany, Jill Swhier, Fortville, Bronson Swhier (wife Tasha), Fairview, and Ricky.  Seven grandchildren, Samantha, Drew, Dylan, Maddy, Austin, Serenity and Britlyn.

Also his in-law family; Susan McQwitty, Phillip and Vicky Hughes, Bobby Jr. and Sheryl Daugherty, John and Denise Daugherty, Brian Daugherty and Lisa Daugherty.  Mother and Father in-law, Robert and Wanda Daugherty.

Mike Enjoyed RC (radio controlled) cars and trucks, especially when racing with his pops, golfing and playing Texas Holdem.  He was a big Colts fan and hockey fan.

Most of all he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by three maternal aunts, Linda Gibson, Judy Kimper and Karen Gibson, one paternal uncle, Pat McLaughlin and special cousin Jeff Swerenger.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center with Pastor Neil Peterson officiating and Mike’s nephew Branden Hughes.  Burial will follow at the Hawk Cemetery.  Friends may call on Wednesday at 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
