Nella R. Lowery, 86, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on August 16, 2024. She was born on September 24, 1937, in Jamestown, Tennessee to Fount and Mary (Smith) Lackey.

Nella was creative, she had magic fingers, and anything she touched she was good at. She was a seamstress, making many of the girl's clothes, and she was good at plants. Nella enjoyed arts and crafts, and sewing, she also taught ceramics. What she enjoyed most was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Nella is survived by her children; Cynthia Johnson (Bruce), and Paula Bota (Joseph), 7 grandchildren, 10 great-children, and 1 great-great-grandson. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin D. Lowery of 40 years, and two children; Theresa Venable, and Alvin D. Lowery Jr. 

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time with Ronald Ross officiating.
