Norris Eston Teague passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024, at the age of 84. Norris was born on March 1, 1940, in Baltimore, MD to Herman Teague and Flossie Teague (Mears). 

Norris graduated from Olivet Nazarene University, where he met his wife, Phyllis. He later graduated from Butler University with a master’s degree in music. Norris served for many years as part-time Minister of Music in several Nazarene churches. His ministry in music was the core of his Christian faith. Norris also enjoyed hobbies, including model trains and vintage automobiles. Norris enjoyed 61 years of marriage to his wife Phyllis. 

Norris is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis Teague; two sons, Todd Teague of Muncie, IN, and Shawn Teague of Brooklyn, NY; and other beloved family members: nieces Dana Thompson, Shalana Hyatt Hawley, Shannon Kearce; and a nephew, Nathan Hyatt. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Glenda Joy and Marilyn Hyatt. 

Visitation will be held on September 28, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Park Nazarene Church in Muncie. A funeral service will be held at the church on the same day at 1:00 PM. The burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
