Tom Blevins Sr. departed this world for his heavenly home on June 12, 2025. Tom was born on August 1, 1950, in Ohio to Rose Tommey and Ovia Blevins. He was one of 12 children. Tom professed his life to Christ in 1978, and he had a love for serving the Lord, always trying to lead others to God. Tom loved fishing and searching for treasures at garage sales and flea markets. Tom was a kind and giving man who loved his family deeply. Tom was a member of Temple Baptist church in Muncie for the past several years. He served in the Armed Forces in Vietnam. Tom retired from Sears in 2012.

Tom married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, on January 26, 1972. Together, they had twin boys, Tommy and Christopher. She was the light of his life until her death on November 10, 1992.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son Tommy Blevins, daughter-in-law Kimberly Blevins, granddaughter Cassandra Cornett (Boyd), great-granddaughter Ava Ralston, and his best friend and caregiver, Mike Shockley. 

Step children Ryan Zapata Stephany Moser and Emanuel Zapata. He had many nieces and nephews, siblings Connie Cox (Jess), Joyce Blevins, Keith Blevins, Terry Toomey, Sherry Toomey, and Adeline Jefferson (Tom).

He is preceded in death and is now reunited with, his parents, wife, Cheryl Blevins, Son, Christopher Blevins and his special grandson Cody Blevins and granddaughter Aria Michelle Cornett, siblings Butch Blevins, Betty Mains Evonne Cox, Edsel Blevins, Delmar Blevins, Charles Marshall, Mary Blevins, and Jimmy Blevins. 

Funeral services will be at Temple Baptist Church, 3501 S. Madison, Muncie, on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM.  Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow with Military Honors at Tomlinson Cemetery.  Pastor Ben Lang will officiate.
