Pamela Geiger Obituary

Pamela J. Geiger, 70, of Yorktown, went home with the Lord on May 5, 2026, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 8, 1955, in Muncie to Paul W. and Dorothy (Mellott) Berg.

Pam was a woman whose love for her faith and family guided every part of her life. She shared 42 wonderful years with the love of her life, Ronald Geiger, building a life centered around hard work, compassion, laughter, and devotion to those she loved most. Together, they owned and operated Harris Glass for over 20 years after marrying in 1984.

Pamela found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved cats, gardening, especially tending to her vegetable garden, and spending time outdoors camping, hiking, boating, enjoying nature, and riding their Goldwing. She especially loved the water, whether at the beach, by the ocean, at the lake, or relaxing by a pool with family and friends. She was an excellent cook who proudly carried on recipes and traditions learned from her Grandma Mellott.

Her grandchildren were truly her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Pam was known for her humor, her jokes, and the warmth she brought into every room. She loved watching television, taking care of those around her, and making sure everyone else was cared for before herself. Her selflessness could especially be seen in the loving care she provided for her brother and daughter over the years.

Pam was strong, resilient, and a true fighter. The struggles she faced never defined her; instead, they revealed her courage, bravery, and unwavering spirit. Through every challenge, she remained loving, helpful, and deeply devoted to others. A faithful member of Union Chapel Church, Pam was active in her church family and volunteered with the prayer chain ministry, always offering comfort, prayers, and support to those in need.

Pamela is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Geiger; children, Chris, Ron (Heather) Rinker, Mike (Nancy) Geiger, and Pam K. Geiger; brother, Paul Berg; grandchildren, Will and Audrey Rinker, Robert Brooks, Sarah Davis, and Carol Tincher; along with several cherished grand-kitties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Burg and Paul W. Berg; two sisters at birth; and her uncle, “Duke” Don Mellott, along with several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the time of service with Tim and Marji King officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
