Patricia Adeline Whitmire was born February 7, 1943, in Muncie, Indiana, to Floyd and Mabel Smith, one of fifteen children.  Patricia attended Muncie Community schools.  She passed away on August 30, 2024, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital after battling multiple health issues.

Patricia loved to listen to George Jones and Elvis Presley.  She loved mashed potatoes, mac and cheese with baked chicken.  She was big on spending time with her family.  She loved gardening, keeping her yard nice, and her main hobby was playing cards.  Patricia had a special place in her heart for her multiple fur babies.

Patricia is survived by one brother, Bob (Michelle); six sisters, Annie, Florance, Clara (Carl), Opal, Mabel (Shannon), and Flora; six children, Myron, Sherry (Kenneth), Richard (Sumar), John, Ethel and Patty; grandchildren, Dustin (Nicole), Hailey (Tyler), Richard III (Jessica), Marcus, Lucas, Mackenzie, Ava, Jack (Valerie), Kendra (Abel), Andy, and Tomi; great-grandchildren, Carrie, Alexus, Charlee, Elsa, John, Phoenix, Mallory, Gabriel, Cain, Kambrie, Bryson, Kingston, Carson, Addyson, Layna, Kenzie, Kenneth, Sherry, Adan, Damon, Sylas, Journey, and Nova, and her one and only great-great-granddaughter, Avayah; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend, Susie Smith, and her bird Sky, as well as good friend, Eric Sailers.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; two ex-husbands, Myron Warfel Sr, and Richard “Dick” Whitmire Sr; five brothers, Richard, Popeye, Deedee, Henry and Jack; two sisters, Barbra Lou, and Bert; daughter-in-law, Laura; grandson Derrick; grandbaby, Baby Angel, and great-grandson, Ezekiel.  She was also preceded in death by her life long friend Amy Sneed; her five dogs, Spanky, Brutus, Josie, Zag, and Snowflake; and her three birds, Cocky, Taz, and Star.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call on the family on Friday, September 6, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  Pastor Jonathan Booth will officiate.  Per Patricia’s wishes she will be cremated following the service.
