Patricia (Patti) Ruth Jones, sadly, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024.  Patti was born on October 5, 1951, the daughter of Fred and Wilma Jean Dunavent.

Patti was a proud Muncie Central Bearcat, graduating in 1970.  She later graduated from beauty school and was a hairdresser for 25 years.  She stopped working to take care of her two children and ran them to sporting events, dance, and all of their other events.  She retired from MRDC later in life, with many jobs in between.

Patti met the love of her life Rick (Slab) Jones in 1974 and they were happily married for 48 years!  She loved nothing more than to be at Prairie Creek Reservoir where she had a camper and a boat.  She loved to sit by the campfire with her family and many friends she had met through the years!  She never knew a stranger and was always the shoulder to lean on.  The number of friends she made in her 72 years on this earth is astounding.

She is survived by her loving husband Rick, two children, Adam and Amber (Bub) Jones, and three little boys that held a special place in her heart, Lincoln, Pierce, and Lennox Dudley.  She is also survived by her niece and many cousins, as well as her precious dogs, Nikki and grand-dog Wrigley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, her in-laws, and her brother’s in-law.

Services will be at 12:45 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM, and burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.  Pastor Steve Graves will officiate.

Patti always wanted to have a big party after she passed.  We will honor her wishes with a celebration of life at a later date.
