Paul Edward Johnson, 63, passed away on January 31, 2025 at his Muncie home, surrounded by loved ones.  Paul was born on October 21, 1961, the son of George Johnson and Louise (Couch) Murphy.

After attending local schools, Paul went on to work in the construction field as a subcontractor.  He was a man known for his skills in construction, and could build a house from the ground up, including plumbing, electrical, and interior finishing.  He had a love of cars, especially antique cars and would watch television shows about them as his health diminished.  He also had a passion for racing go karts.

Paul loved to spend time in Brown County, Indiana as well at Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  He was a friend to everybody and was always willing to help out anyone, even if it meant he went without.  He was a joker that loved to make people laugh.  Perhaps his biggest love was for family, including his wife, children and grandchildren.

Those he left behind include his wife of nearly twenty-eight years, Susan (Chadwick) Johnson, sons, Paul “PJ” Johnson (Misty), Scott Johnson (Amber), Coby Chadwick, and Chad Chadwick, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his mother, Louise Murphy, and siblings, George Jr, Cindy, and Carol.  In addition, he is survived by his “fur-baby”, his dog, Lexus.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Johnson Sr.

Paul will be cremated, with no formal services.  Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center is handling the cremation.
