Paul Roberts, 73, passed away on October 11, 2024, at his home after a short battle with cancer.  Paul was born on August 22, 1951, the son of Edward J. and Betty Jean (Gilmer) Roberts, in Hartford City Indiana.

Paul grew up in the Summitville area, graduating from Summitville High School in 1969.  Following graduation Paul entered the United States Army and was in the 82nd Airborne, serving in Vietnam.  Upon returning from the war, Paul worked as a truck driver, ultimately retiring from Venture Logistics.  Paul was a hard worker that continued working until his cancer prevented him from doing so.

He is survived by his wife, Rita (Robertson) Roberts, step-sons, Stacy and Tim Guinn, sisters Judy Fueston, Bonnie Hardy, and Connie Roberts.  In addition, he leaves behind his close cousin Rodney Fannin, and last, but not least, his constant canine companion, Julie.

Per Paul’s request, he will be cremated, and there will be no services.  Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center is entrusted with the cremation.
