Pauline Marie Bennett, 91, passed away at Ried Health Hospital in Richmond, Indiana on May 22, 2024.  Pauline was born On May 5, 1933, the daughter of George and Helen (Shewman) Wilson, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Pauline attended local schools in Rochester, NY and in 1950, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Orin Bennett.  They went on to be married for over 70 years and raised three daughters.  Pauline worked many jobs over the years including cabinet making, was a member of the local Carpenters Union, and retired from Ball Manufacturing in Muncie.

Pauline had a passion for gardening and loved to spend time outdoors.  She enjoyed watching football and had lately become a Kansas City Chiefs fan.  She was also a high stakes Euchre player, not only amongst family and friends, but belonged to a league as well.  But what brought her the most joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was immensely proud of her family and would brag about them to anyone who would listen.

Paulin leaves behind her three daughters, Vicky Allen, Cindy Lynch (Mike), and Patti Phillips (Jeff), grandchildren, Robert Allen (Heather), Josiah Denny (Andrea), Erka Smits (Nathan), Amy Thompson (Mike), Rebecca Allen, Joel Phillips (Brooke), and Sara Gulia (TJ), twenty-one great-grandchildren, and special nephew, Jim Wilson and great niece and nephew, Shawna, and Cody, her dearest friend and co-worker, Artie Gates, and her fur baby and much-loved dog, Rosie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jesse James Allen, brother James Wilson, and a half-brother Tom Leadbetter.

Services will be on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams, Muncie, Indiana.  Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.

In her husband’s obituary, Pauline wanted it mentioned that she had lost her best friend.  It is only fitting that she was reunited with him one year to the day from the date of his passing.  They are together again.
