Phillip "Pops" Zearbaugh, 81, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on September 14, 2025. He was born on May 27, 1944, in Muncie to Zed and Nora (Harris) Zearbaugh.

Phillip was a beloved member of the Muncie community, known for his warm heart, generous spirit, and hard work. He never met a stranger and seemed to know everyone in town. He had a deep love for life, people, and the Lord. He especially enjoyed trains and horses, caring for horses at the Delaware County Fairgrounds and at the local police station during the time they used mounted patrols.

A gifted craftsman, Phillip could create just about anything with his hands—trains, paintings, and countless handmade treasures. He was proud of his 44-year career at Hillcroft Services, where his creativity and work ethic touched many lives.

Phillip is survived by his children, Eric Zearbaugh and Lisa, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Parson Mortuary on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m., with interment to follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.

Phillip will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
