Ray Frederick Greer

Ray Fredrick Greer, 70, went to join The Lord unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  He was born in Muncie on November 2, 1952, the son of John and Lorine (Aul) Greer.  Ray graduated from Yorktown High School in 1971 and became a Tool and Die Maker for several of the area Tool & Die Shops in the area.  Eventually, he married Patricia (Williams) Greer on June 4, 1995, in Daleville and she preceded him in death.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing.  He also enjoyed scrapping and going to flea markets, auctions, and yard sales.  He knew no one as a stranger, he loved to talk.  He would talk for hours if you had time to listen.  He loved his dog Elsa who became his constant companion after losing his wife. 

 He is survived by his three children, Tracy Loser (Ronnie), Stacy Markwell, and Larry Greer (fiancé-Marlena); three sisters, Judy Lipscomb, Liz Isenberg, and Rita Pucket; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Meghan, Caitlin, Nick, Lindsey, and Rodney; fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Shawn, Sarah, Missy, and Mindy, David, Adam, and Russell.  He will be missed by many. 

Besides his wife of 28 years, Patricia, he was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor James Oliver McCowan officiating.  Cremation is taking place.  Parson Mortuary Crematory Center is entrusted with these arrangements.

Friends may call at Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church 7500 N. Wheeling Ave. Muncie, IN 47304 from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.  A Memorial dinner to immediately follow the services.
