Richard Odell Wilson, 84, passed away on September 20, 2025, while residing at Bethel Pointe Health Center, and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Richard was born in Muncie on March 20, 1941, the son of Harry and Jennie (Leicht) Wilson.

Richard graduated from Muncie Central High School and attended Ball State University, and proudly served in the United States Army. He went on to work for and retire from Westinghouse/ABB. He married the love of his life, Peggy (Long), and they were married for 52 years before her passing in 2021. Richard was a gentle man with a caring soul, known for his positive attitude and sense of humor. He enjoyed woodworking and, most recently, attended New Day Baptist Church and Full Gospel Temple.

He is survived by his son, Bradley Wilson (Christina), sisters-in-law, Rachael Wilson, Linda Long, and Sandra Brobst (Donald), and many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy, his parents, two brothers, Harry Wilson and Thomas Wilson, and a sister-in-law, Judy Wilson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams Street, Muncie. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will
follow on a later date. Pastor Dale Trego will officiate.
