Muncie: Rosemary Shockley passed away Tuesday afternoon July 28, 2020 at I. U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Rosemary was born on Wednesday January 7, 1942 to Loretta and Ermil Sanders in Columbus Indiana. She had a passion for bingo and cooking for her family and friends. Rosemary was proud to be the first female driver in the Delaware County Fair’s demolition derby in 1975.
Surviving Rosemary are children Michael (Lisa) Shockley, Kimberly Shockley-Dodd, John Shockley, David Shockley; grandchildren Ricky Stephenson, Susanna Stephenson, John David Copeland, Chris Copeland, Sierra Dodd, Tony Shockley, Nathan Shockley, Brandon Shockley, Danielle Shockley, Andrea Shockley Angelia Shockley, Adam Shockley, Angela Shockley; sisters Janet Wise, Mary Sanders Hankey and brother Ermil Dale Sanders. Rosemary’s beloved cats Mama, Red, and Blackbird will miss her also.
Her parents, loving husband Jerry Shockley, daughter, Jerri Kay Stephenson, son, Chuck Shockley and sister Brenda Stahl preceded Rosemary in passing.
There will be a graveside service at Beech Grove Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020.
