Russell C. Adkins

Russell Cole Adkins, 40, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away tragically on March 20, 2026. He was born on October 8, 1985, in Muncie, Indiana, to Larry Adkins and Kathy (Beaty) Sorrell.

Russell attended Muncie Central High School and worked for Greg Hubler Automotive. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Above all, Russell cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved granddaughter, Emery.

Russell is survived by his three children, Isabella Adkins (Sims), Halee Adkins, and Graham Adkins; his granddaughter, Emery Sims; his niece, Grace Johnson; his nephew, Jesse Johnson; his mother, Kathy Adkins (Sorrell); his brother, Dustin Adkins; his sister, Brandy Johnson; and his fiancée, Burdette Trout.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Zola Brannon; his aunt, Sheila Brannon; and his uncles, Thomas Beaty and Stacy Brannon.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
