Samuel "Sam" E. Caldwell Jr.

Samuel E. Caldwell Jr. passed away Tuesday evening February 25, 2020 at his residence. Sam was born on August 9, 1971 in Muncie to Ruby Turner and Samuel E. Caldwell Sr. growing up in Muncie graduating from Sound the Alarm Christian Academy in 1989. Sam was a devoted and loving father who enjoyed camping, fishing, car races and all things outdoors. He was truly generous with his possessions and loved to make people smile with a great sense of humor who often played pranks and jokes on all. Many will remember his cooking skills as a food vendor at area events and his way of saying, he just loved to make money.

Surviving Sam are his loving mother, Ruby Turner; sons, Garrett, Corbin, aunts, Becky, Kim, Nora, Kay, Peggy, uncles Danny, Linder, Tony and cousins Lora Hadley and Jimmie Sorrels Jr.. Sam had numerous other cousins, extended family members and good friend Maryann Rose who will miss him deeply.

His father Samuel Sr., grandparents, Roy and Peggy Richardson, Edward and Naomi Caldwell, and Uncle Roy David preceded him in passing.

Funeral services will be at Parson Mortuary, 801 West Adams St. on Saturday March 7, 2020 at 4:00pm with Pastor Mike Beeman officiating. Friends may call from 2:30 until the time of the service on Saturday.
