Sandy was born to Ralph and Idabelle Wilson on May 21, 1939, and was called home to the Lord on July 13, 2024, after a brief illness. She graduated from Eaton. She was a busy homemaker who raised five children while also working as a secretary at Westinghouse. She was employed as a unit secretary at Ball Memorial Hospital from where she retired.
She was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Max Ailes Sr.; her son, Max Ailes Jr.; her grandson, Jacob Ailes and her sister Bonnie Plum.
She leaves behind her sons, Mike (Tammy) Ailes, Chris (Rosemary) Ailes, Tim (Karmen) Ailes, daughter Kathy Burns, her sisters Rita Hough, and Diane (Steve) Jenkins, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a member of First Community Church of Matthews, IN. She enjoyed the fellowship and friendliness of the other members. We would like to thank Pastor Thomas Stone and the church family for their love, support, and prayers.
There will be a private family service and she will be interred at Elizabethtown Cemetery.
