Sandra Sue (Estes) Burton Obituary
Sandra Sue Burton, 74, passed on Aust 19, 2024, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. Sandra was born in Winchester, Indiana, on April 6, 1950, the daughter of David and Viola (Hecht) Estes.
Sandra graduated from Muncie Central and went on to work several years for JC Penny, a job that she absolutely loved. On July 22, 1994, she married Danny Burton, and they shared 30 years of marriage this year.
Sandra was a person that never met a stranger, making her career in retail sales a joy. She was known for her green thumb and the ability to save plants that were near death. She loved roses, gardening, being on the water and especially loved spending time on cruises with Danny. She was described as a “talker” by family, often spending time on the telephone into the late nights, and adored her grandchildren.
Sandra leaves behind her husband Danny Burton, daughter Cindy Brown (Bruce), grand-daughters Breea Jones (Dustan), and Destiny Pitman, two brothers, DeWayne Estes and John Estes (Joy), as well as a cousin Lisa Sebring. In addition, she is survived by her special friends Heather Campbell (Randy) and Lucas Gideon, and we cannot forget her dog, Otto.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grand-daughter Ciara Brown, her first husband and dear friend, Clinton E. Brown and her favorite dog, Sammy J. Hagar.
Sandra’s wishes were to be cremated. Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center is in charge of those arrangements.
