Stephen Kent Fuller, 82, of Yorktown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
Stephen was born on May 30, 1944, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Gilbert Andrew Fuller and Audrey Dee (Patton) Fuller.
He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1962. Following graduation, Stephen worked briefly for Warner Gear Motors before beginning a 40-year career with New Venture Gear in Muncie, from which he retired.
Although Stephen was not a military veteran himself, he was a deeply patriotic man who took great pride in the service of his family members. His son, brother, great-niece, several nephews, and a son-in-law all served in the United States military. Stephen was a member of the Proud Sons of American Legion Post 321 in Yorktown and UAW Local 499.
Stephen enjoyed spending time fishing, caring for his yard, and traveling to Kentucky with Peggy. He was known for his strong work ethic, love of family, and appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.
Survivors include his children: Kristinia McDonough (John), Robert "Andy" Fuller, step-son William "Rocky" Simpson (Leisa), sister-in-law Jenny Fuller, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Chad Mills, Holli Mills Sanchez (David), Haylei Little, Jakob Sanchez, Adriana Sanchez, along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceded by Stephen was his wife of 33 years, Peggy June (Davis) Fuller, Stephen's parents, his siblings, Shirley Ann Shaffer, and David Gilbert Fuller, and grandson Zachary S.A. Cox.
Stephen's children would like to express their deep appreciation to all the staff of Morrison Woods Health Campus, and especially the Assisted Living nurses and aides, where he had resided since August of 2024.
Graveside services will be held at Jones Cemetery at a later date.
