Steven Alan Stant

Steven Stant, 68, left this life on Saturday morning, November 19, 2022, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following complications from diabetes.  He was born on November 8, 1954 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Paul and Jennie (Aker) Stant.

Steven graduated from Southside High School in 1974 and later married the love of his life Juanita (Rogers) Stant on January 1, 1974 in Yorktown.  Steven had worked for Stoops Freightliner and Burlington Motor Carriers as a diesel mechanic for over 30 years.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and cooking shows.  To say he loved food would be an understatement!  Steven, mostly, enjoyed any time he could spend with his family and also liked hanging out at Geoff’s garage.

Besides his wife of 48 years, Juanita, he is survived by 3 daughters, Cathy Leisure (Shane), Daleville, Lisa Stant and Sandra Stant (Companion-Deshoun Davis), both of Muncie; 1 son-in-law, Shawn Wilson; 6 grandchildren, Lexi, Brandon, Camden, DaShandra, Aaron, Arieanna; 5 brothers, Mike Stant and Jeff Stant, both of Utah, Ricky Stant, Portland, Indiana, Tom Stant, Montpelier, Indiana and Dennis Stant (Kim) Pennville; 2 sisters, Kim Abbott, Tennessee and Tina Fisher (Randy), Portland, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; his fur baby- Soffie which is a Yorkie Poo. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Leslie and Phillip; 1 sister, Beverly

Cremation is being done.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.

A memorial for Steven will be held at a later date.
