Tamara Lynn Hargis-Mitchell aka Sid- 58, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, February 26, 2024. She was born on December 5, 1965, in Muncie IN., to the late Hershel and Claudia (Carver) Hargis.

Tamara grew up in Muncie, IN., and graduated from Muncie Southside High School.  Tamara was a hard-working, hard-headed woman, who never took no as an answer. She was previously employed with International Paper. She enjoyed smoking her cigarettes, drinking her Coke, scratching lottery tickets, crocheting, and reading books and she was a historical buff. Sid was the baker of all bakers, locally known for her cheesecakes. She was so smart, she knew a little bit about a lot of things. She was always trying the next best thing to make a little money. She loved watching her hummingbirds. 

She was loved and is survived by her fiance' Kelly Martin, her only daughter Tori Nicole Mitchell, grandson Forrest Michael Mitchell, Raven (dog), one brother, her bobo, Terry Hargis, her favorite sister-in-law, Teresa Hargis, nephews Chad, Matt (David) and Lukas Hargis; nieces Alyvia (Jacob Price), Brandi and Emma Hargis; extended family Tonya Naylor, Angie Mauller, Mark Kissick, Robin Lynn Holder, ex-husband Bobby Mitchell. She is also survived by several other family members in Tennessee & West Virginia.

Sid will be cremated and A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
