Teresa Ann Brown, 71 of Muncie, Indiana, was called home on October 26, 2025. Born August 16, 1954, to Genesse and Charles Staggs.

After graduating from Muncie Central High School, she dedicated her life to being a mother and grandmother. She was known for her kind heart. She loved cooking for friends, even though she didn’t have it to give away, but always did what she could with what she had. She loved music; many times, you’d find her with the radio on, and she would break out into a dance, smiling her ornery smile, daring you to join in. She suffered most of her adult life with mental illness, but that didn’t stop her from uplifting her friends and family with encouraging words.

She was survived by her two daughters, Heidi Anderson, husband Ryan, Tonya Cheek, husband Patrick, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Trudy Ashley, husband Rick, a niece and nephew, and her father Charles Staggs. Preceded in death by her mother Genesse Staggs, 2 brothers Terry and Tony Staggs, and granddaughter Skyleigh Spangler.

Teresa chose not to have any services, and the family has asked if you would like to send something to donate to Schizophrenia and Psychosis Action Alliance.
