Terry Lee Barttrum, 75, left this life Sunday morning at his residence following a brief illness. He was born on February 13, 1949, in Canton, Illinois, the son of, Lewis Melvin and Marry Ellen (Lash) Barttrum.
Terry graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1967 and later married the love of his life, Jane (Cavanaugh) Barttrum on March 18, 1971, and she preceded him in 2021. Terry had worked for Chevrolet Muncie and Borg-Warner Manufacturing as a Machine operator for 30 years before his disability. Mr. Barttrum was on the Deacon Board of the Temple Baptist Church, where he drove a Church Bus. He enjoyed fishing and was also a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Barttrum (Ami)Ft. Myers, Florida, and Chris Barttrum, Muncie; three grandchildren, Kurt (Alex), and Kierston (Carson) Moore, both of Noblesville, and Brile Barttrum, Muncie; three sisters, Diana Snyder, Linda Kiehn, and Sandra Tomsasek, all of Hartford City.
Besides his wife of 50. years Jane, he was preceded in death by one son, Terry Barttrum, Jr; three brothers, Gary David Barttrum, Michael Wayne Barttrum, and Clarence Melvin Barttrum; and one sister, Rebecca Kay Marden.
Cremation has been chosen with no services to be rendered. Arrangements are entrusted to Parson Mortuary Cremation Center.
