Tom was married to his faithful wife Deborah Lowenhar for 52 years. He was born to conservative Jewish parents in Fort Wayne, Indiana and found his Jewish Messiah after many years of earnest prayers from his wife and many others. After Tom became a completed Jew, he enjoyed sharing about his Jewish roots and his journey to salvation. He was devoted to his daughters and grandchildren, imparting a beautiful legacy. He also had an encouraging word for others, liked to make people smile, and inspired people around him. Tom was a dedicated member and deacon of Grace Baptist Church, and previously served as President for the Gideons International in Muncie. He was committed to giving Bibles, ministering in the jail and leading many to the Lord. One of Tom’s favorite enjoyments was to hear his talented daughters minister through music and word in churches about Yeshua and Israel.

He is preceded in death by his father Herman Lowenhar, mother Calla Brateman-Lowenhar, one sister, Elaine Lowenhar-Oransky, and one brother, Judd Lowenhar.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife Deborah Lowenhar, American-Israeli daughter Lori Kate Lowenhar husband Ilan Gorny, daughter Leah Lowenhar-Duke husband Matthew, three grandsons Micah Lowenhar, and Israeli born Allon Lowenhar-Nessim, and Amit Lowenhar-Nessim, along with numerous nieces nephews and other beloved relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Micah Lowenhar, Jonathan Hopkins, David Hopkins, Matt Duke, Robert Green, and Travis Mullins.

Memorials may be made to Gideon's International or to Deborah Lowenhar.
