Timothy Keith Steele, 66, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on January 3, 2025, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial. He was born on August 2, 1958, in Muncie, Indiana, to Robert Steele and Joann (Smedley) Wire.

Timothy was an avid sports fan, especially dedicated to the San Francisco Giants and the 49ers. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for seven years as an air traffic controller, and later worked for the post office for 18 years. He had a great love for fishing and playing cards, and was known for his witty humor and bad jokes that always brought smiles to those around him. Timothy also enjoyed singing and dancing, and was a man of strong faith.

He is survived by his children, Lindsey Peters and Nicholas Steele (Christina Nielsen); his granddaughter, Sophia Peters; his sisters, Jane Johnson and Mary Rollins; his brother, Robert Steele; and his beloved cat, Maverick. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Pariseau.

A memorial service to honor Timothy will be held at Parson Mortuary on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the service starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery with military honors.
