Tyrus Delynn Bell was born in Stearns, KY on January 15, 1948. He passed away on January 6, 2022 at his home in Yorktown, IN, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and Parkinson’s Dementia. Tyrus graduated from McCreery County High School in Kentucky.
Mr. Bell retired from a job he loved at the US Postal Service in Muncie Indiana. He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and the Indianapolis Colts. He loved attending all of his grandchildren’s activities and sporting events and because of this he was a Yorktown Tigers and Cowan Blackhawk fan.
He was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Tyrus was saved as a child and served and worshipped the Lord for the rest of his life. We draw comfort knowing he is in heaven with his loved ones and friends. Words can not express how much we loved him. He has left us with so many wonderful memories. There will be a huge void in our family’s lives with the loss of him.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters Debbie Bell Couch (Steve), Pam Bell Patterson, grandsons Logan and Mason Patterson and Hayden Couch. In addition, he leaves behind brothers Rollie Bell (Diana), Scott Bell (Cheryl), sister Cathy Cox (Rick), many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and his fur companions Izzy and Ellie.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Cecil and Christine Bell, sister Freida Callahan, and granddaughter Elisabeth Kathleen Couch.
He will be cremated and later buried with his wife when she passes. Per the family’s request there will be no services.
