Wanda L. Jackson, 93, went to her heavenly home early Thursday morning, December 7, 2023, at the Signature Health Care Center following an extended illness.  She was born on March 20, 1930, in Muncie the daughter of Walter C. and Lena M. (Sutton) Batt.

Wanda attended Muncie Community Schools and later married the love of her life Woodrow Jackson in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 2002.   Mrs. Jackson became a homemaker.  She was a member of the Band Spreaders Club (Citizen Band Radio), and enjoyed bowling, doing crochet work, doing crafts, Puzzle books, and jigsaw puzzles.   She treasured family times the most.

Survivors include three sons, Woodrow E. Jackson” Butch” (Evelyn, “Katie”), Ronnie L. Jackson (Alice), and Jimmie Jackson (Candy), all of Muncie; eleven grandchildren; fourteen Great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband of 57 years, Woodrow “Woody, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Jean Jackson, and two granddaughters, Kimberly Jackson and Tamara Jackson; her parents and fourteen siblings.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 12:30 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Walt Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 11:30 P.M. until the time of the service.
